Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho is a qualified, competent, and experienced female Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with 15 years of experience specializing in Intellectual Property Business and Company Law. She has extensive experience in business, company and intellectual property laws and practice in Uganda and has participated in the development and reviewing of laws relating to intellectual property, business registration, and company incorporation.

Kainobwisho holds a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property(LLM) from University of Turin, Italy; a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Makerere University Business School, a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University (LLB,) Uganda, Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center, Uganda, and post-graduate training including oil and gas, leadership and management.

Kainobwisho is currently the Director of Intellectual Property, having successfully served as the Director of Business Registration at Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB.) She has previously worked as a Manager of Intellectual Property at URSB, a State Attorney with Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, and a Legal Assistant in charge of Intellectual Property and Commercial Transactions at Shonubi Musoke & Co Advocates.
